RS Government Adopts 'Information on Undermining the BiH Constitution' and Sends it for Consideration to the National Assembly of RS

(Patria) - The RS Government adopted at today's special session in Banja Luka the "Information on Undermining the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Measures and Tasks for the Protection of the BiH Constitution", and sent it for consideration to the National Assembly of RS.

Among other things, the Information states that "the trial of the President of RS and the Director of the 'Official Gazette of RS' is not a trial of Milorad Dodik and Miloš Lukić, but a trial of RS, its institutions, and its constitutional position in BiH, with the intention of completely disempowering and weakening RS to a level where its existence would lose all meaning, and thus the letter of the Dayton Agreement.

"All of this has led to the destabilization of Dayton BiH, whose progress, let alone survival, is being jeopardized in this way, and by those who allegedly advocate for a strong and independent BiH.

RS, which continuously advocates for peace and stability, as one of the two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirms its full commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement, including the BiH Constitution, as well as the continuation of BiH's progress on the path of regional and European integration.

RS fully respects the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order of BiH and insists on the respect and implementation of the letter of the Dayton Agreement.

If the legal violence against RS does not cease, and if there is no political will and international support to return Bosnia and Herzegovina to its foundations and transform it into a state where the Dayton Constitution and laws are respected, RS is obliged to take measures without delay to protect its Dayton position through exclusively political and legal means.

The RS Government was informed of the expressed concern by the leadership and members of associations and organizations originating from the Defense-Homeland War, addressed to the Ministry of Labor and Veterans and Disabled Persons' Protection regarding the upcoming event in the proceedings against the President of RS and the acting director of the 'Official Gazette of RS', and adopts it.

The RS Government expresses special respect for the members of associations and organizations originating from the Defense-Homeland War who have made an immeasurable contribution to the creation and preservation of RS.

Organizations originating from the Defense-Homeland War addressed the competent Ministry of Labor and Veterans and Disabled Persons' Protection and expressed concern regarding the upcoming event and proceedings before the Court of BiH against the institution of the President of RS and the institution of the Director of the 'Official Gazette of RS'.

The RS Government accepted the concerns of organizations originating from the Defense-Homeland War and tasked the Ministry of Labor and Veterans and Disabled Persons' Protection to organize a rally of support, in order to protect the institutions of RS.

The RS Government, as the organizer of the rally of support for the institutions of RS 'For the President, for Srpska, for Institutions', calls on all patriots to, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, and on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, show their readiness to preserve the constitutional order of RS and BiH, based exclusively on the rule of law and in accordance with the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH, by their presence at the rally in front of the National Assembly of RS building", the statement from the RS Government reads.
