Government supported the establishment of an e-Portal and adopted the first decisions for the launch of the first phase

(Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton has begun the process of digitizing public services, which means that long waits at counters should soon be replaced by an e-portal.

As part of the presentation of the e-portal's functionalities, the Government of Sarajevo Canton, at its last session, confirmed its commitment to the digital transformation process.

Support was expressed for the activities carried out so far within this project, both in terms of creating a legal framework by the Ministry of Justice and Administration, and the accompanying technical solution in the form of a cantonal e-portal, as a central administrative place for providing services to citizens digitally.

The project was developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and in cooperation with the Institute for Informatics and Statistics of KS.

The launch of all e-portal functionalities is planned in phases, with the KS Government creating the prerequisites for the imminent launch of the first phase through its conclusions from the session.

Ministries, cantonal administrative bodies, and independent cantonal administrative organizations are tasked with updating existing and entering missing data and information related to procedures within their jurisdiction within 30 days, as this data is crucial for mapping processes for their digitization.

The Institute for Informatics and Statistics of KS is responsible for managing the e-portal and ensuring access to the e-portal for all administrative bodies, in cooperation and with the support of the project implementers.

The Ministry of Justice and Administration of KS is responsible for coordinating these activities.

The Government also formed a working body responsible for the technical handover of the e-portal to Sarajevo Canton, as well as for developing criteria and selecting sets of services to be digitized.
