KS Government Adopts Fund Redistribution, Salaries for UNSA Employees Can Be Released

(Patria) - The KS Government held an electronic session this afternoon where it adopted the necessary fund redistribution for the payment of salaries to employees of the University of Sarajevo.

This information was confirmed by Prime Minister Nihad Uk for Patria. However, he does not have information on when the money will be in the employees' accounts, as the process is now taken over by the KS Ministry of Finance, which carries out the payment.

This means that the Ministry could make the payment today, but due to the late payment and the upcoming weekend, most employees will not have their salaries available before Monday, December 16.

This situation arose due to the dispute over the signature of Rector Tarik Zaimović, with the Minister of Higher Education citing that he was not registered in the court register. However, this situation could have been overcome in a different way, as was done today. Someone clearly benefited from this situation to send a message to the employees that their salaries are delayed because of the Rector. But it should be noted that the salaries are delayed due to the attitude of the line minister towards Rector Zaimović, given that she is pressuring for an extraordinary session of the Senate to be convened, an acting rector to be elected, and the procedure for electing a new rector to be repeated.

In this case, the competent court will have the final say.
