Although it holds regular sessions, the KS Government has not sent any laws to the KS Assembly for a long time, but is exclusively dealing with decisions, appointments, employment, information.
The last session of the KS Assembly was held on July 7, as a continuation of the 8th working session. For now, there is no announcement as to when the next session will be held.
Meanwhile, the "trojka" parties have started talks with independent deputies about the reconstruction of the KS Government in order to oust the Party for BiH. Although it initially won five mandates, the Party for BiH quickly lost two deputies. First, Admela Hodžić left the party, and then Elza Gaković.
Thus, there are now four (in)dependent deputies in the KS Assembly who are decisive for the approval of the KS Government reconstruction. However, the price the "trojka" is willing to pay for this is too high. The "trojka" has 17 deputies and needs a few more votes for a stable majority.
Deputy Damir Marjanović has been profiting from his "independence" for years, thus being the informal head of processes in Sarajevogas. He also had a say in the higher education portfolio, and his movement "For New Generations" has two out of three members of the Supervisory Board of Sarajevogas. He personally requested four new jobs in this company from the minister. One of the employed individuals is also a member of "For New Generations", and was previously engaged on a contract for work. The line minister, Almir Bečarević, pointed out these inconsistencies, stating that it is about political corruption.
Redžo Lemezan left the Our Party shortly after entering the KS Assembly instead of Nihad Uka, who was elected Prime Minister of KS. Unofficial information suggests that Lemezan also has a wish list for the "trojka" to support the reconstruction of the KS Government. In that change, Our Party would have one ministry less.
It is certain that Admela Hodžić and Elza Gaković also have a strong negotiating position, but they have not yet presented their demands to the "trojka", or at least not publicly.
Although we tried to get more information about the next KS Assembly and the negotiation process for the government reconstruction, the Speaker of the KS Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, did not answer calls.
