Government of Sarajevo Canton: All security capacities engaged in finding and punishing those responsible for false bomb threats

(Patria) - Following the frequent reports of alleged bombs in Sarajevo schools, Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister Nihad Uk spoke out, stating that the Sarajevo Canton Government takes each individual case seriously, regardless of the fact that all reports so far have been false.

As he confirmed, the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior is working at full capacity to find the perpetrators of these criminal acts, as well as other security partner agencies in and outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- I note that a false report of a planted bomb is a serious criminal offense, punishable by up to three years in prison. The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office will prioritize cases of false bomb reports.

In addition, we call on the competent authorities at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina to amend the legal framework regulating the purchase of prepaid SIM cards in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so that the buyer of a SIM card is mandatory identified with a personal document - Uk said.
