Government of Sarajevo Canton dismisses the Management Board of the Sarajevo Canton Health Centre, dismissal of director Baltić not considered

(Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton dismissed the Management Board of the Sarajevo Canton Health Centre, led by chairman Ademir Spahić, at today's session, Faktor learns.

This decision was made after the Sarajevo Canton Assembly recently failed to adopt the Report on the work and financial operations of this public institution for the year 2022. That something like this would happen was announced by Spahić a few days ago in an interview with Faktor.

- In accordance with legal procedures, the Sarajevo Canton Government, upon the proposal of the cantonal minister, should dismiss the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, and the general director. There are many shortcomings in the Sarajevo Canton Health Centre, primarily in organizational terms. No improvement in primary healthcare has been achieved.

The work of the Management Board during the mandate was constructive; I have documentation from every session. Now the law must be respected; I can't wait to see the explanation for the dismissal - Spahić said then.

According to unofficial information, the status of the Supervisory Board, as well as that of the director of the Sarajevo Canton Health Centre, Abel Baltić, who is on sick leave, was not considered today.
