(Patria) - Salaries for University of Sarajevo employees have still not been paid, and the KS Government is not commenting today on why, after yesterday's agreement, the payment for 2,700 employees is missing today.
As Patria learns unofficially, the problem is still with the redistribution of funds in the UNSA Budget, which is being handled by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of KS. Only after this procedure is completed and the minister gives her consent does everything go for approval to the Ministry of Finance of KS.
We also asked Prime Minister Nihad Uk if the salaries for UNSA employees had been released, but unlike yesterday when he quickly responded that an agreement had been reached on payment, today there is silence.
Uk himself announced to the media yesterday that a KS Government session would be held today at 8 AM to approve the distribution, but it is evident that the session did not take place. As Patria learns, an electronic session was held after 1 PM, at which the redistribution was approved and the Ministry of Finance will make the salary payments.
The UNSA Trade Union warned yesterday that they would undertake all activities to prevent such things from happening again, and that the relationship between the University and its founder cannot be resolved at the expense of 2,700 employees.
