KS Government: Inspection oversight to be intensified, teaching regime remains unchanged until further notice

SARAJevo, (Patria) - KS Minister of Health Haris Vranić stated that the coronavirus pandemic is far from over, and that we must all adhere to epidemiological measures, and we do not have vaccines to achieve immunity.

"A large number of people are on respirators and hospital capacities are almost full. The KS Government is determined to implement the restrictive measures that have been adopted. In the coming period, inspection controls of restaurants and shopping malls will be significantly intensified, and we will try to find legal frameworks to bring all catering facilities that do not comply with the measures into order with even more restrictive measures," said Vranić.

Regarding the teaching regime in primary and secondary schools, it will remain unchanged until further notice.

"Although we are working on it and wish for students to return to classrooms, we must consider the epidemiological situation," said the relevant minister Naida Hota-Muminović.

Minister of Higher Education and Science Melika Husić Mehmedović stated that classes at faculties in the summer semester begin on March 2 and there will be no changes in the teaching regime.

"Theoretical classes will continue online, and laboratory exercises and the practical part of classes and exams are allowed to be conducted in groups of up to 30 people, while respecting epidemiological measures," said the minister.
