KS GOVERNMENT REFUSES FUNDS, PERIOD. Premier Uk: I understand the youth, they've already spent that 10 or 12 thousand in their heads

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk confirmed that the KS Government will not allocate additional funds for the payment of subsidies to 1,142 young people who have earned this right and that from the KS Budget for 2024, money cannot be allocated for a public call from 2023. Therefore, the amount remains 4,800 KM per applicant, which is the lowest amount since subsidies for resolving housing issues have been distributed.

Uk stated on Bosanski vjestnik on Face TV that the public call stated "up to 12,000" and that the call was respected from a formal-legal perspective.

"This is not a decision I am most satisfied with. The amount was 5.5 million KM. An additional 10 million could not be found in the Budget. The KS Government did not have that money. I am glad that in KS we have raised standards so much that even 4,800 is unsatisfactory for that population," said the KS Prime Minister.

He added that they will carefully consider what the criteria will be in the public call for 2024. He confirmed that the Budget provides for 500,000 KM, and then additional money is redistributed.

On the other hand, Uk said that the 2024 budget provides for a subsidy for renting real estate.

"We want to subsidize rent and the additional construction of apartments in KS that will be more affordable for young people.

I understand that anger; those individuals have already spent that 10 or 12 thousand in their heads. If I were in their situation, I would also sit with some prime minister and beg for it to be increased. I understand the revolt that is happening. This is a lesson for me for the future call," said Uk.

When asked why they are financing losses of public companies in multi-million amounts, Uk said that "all of this has its purpose".

On Sunday, a protest march will be held by about 800 young people who are dissatisfied with the subsidy amount and the KS Government's refusal to find another solution and pay an amount close to what was promised.
