Canton Sarajevo Government ready to engage all healthcare institutions to provide missing services

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session tasked the director of the Public Institution Health Centre of Sarajevo Canton to urgently inform the Government about the list of laboratory services they are unable to provide to end users, and to submit information on the phase of the public procurement of reagents and when its completion is expected.

At the same time, the Government tasked all public healthcare institutions in the Canton to submit information on the availability of current stocks of reagents needed for providing laboratory services.

"Due to inadequate planning of reagent needs and failure to conduct timely public procurement procedures at the Health Centre, patients have unfortunately been unable to obtain certain laboratory services at this institution for some time. The Government of Sarajevo Canton, in order to overcome this situation, is ready to engage all available public healthcare resources so that citizens can receive prescribed healthcare services on time," the Government of Sarajevo Canton stated.
