Government of Sarajevo Canton: Consents given for concluding service contracts

(Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton at today's session gave consents for concluding 22 service contracts in the administrative bodies of Sarajevo Canton, as well as in cantonal institutes and public enterprises.

Consents were given after the expiration of the employment moratorium of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, and the majority of them relate to concluding contracts with certified accountants for the verification of financial reports, which is a legal obligation of administrative bodies that must be fulfilled by the end of February this year.

Consents were also given, among other things, for concluding service contracts with court interpreters for the translation of data from foreign authorities, as well as for the project of establishing a helicopter unit of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, and for "PROJECT HARMONI. INC" - Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Media component of the fight against corruption and juvenile delinquency implemented by TVSA.

At the upcoming sessions of the Sarajevo Canton Government, items regarding giving consents to administrative bodies for internal transfers of civil servants will be considered, in accordance with the Law on Civil Service. Internal transfers do not imply new employment, but exclusively refer to the reassignment of existing civil servants between administrative bodies to positions where their engagement is necessary.

Agenda items related to concluding service contracts, as well as temporary and occasional work in cultural institutions, were withdrawn from the agenda of today's session for further refinement, at the proposal of the relevant minister.
