Government of Canada Strongly Supports the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina!

(Patria) - Following the statement by Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, in which she once again expressed the Government of Canada's position on the culture of remembrance and commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide, with strong words: "We stand with the victims and survivors of the Srebrenica genocide in their ongoing pursuit of justice", the Institute for Genocide Research Canada received a new letter from the Minister in response to several letters regarding the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In this letter, the Minister specifically reflected on the anti-civilizational marking of the unconstitutional January 9th as the Day of the RS Entity.

The Minister clearly reiterated the Government of Canada's position on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Canada condemns the unconstitutional celebration of January 9th as the Day of the RS Entity.
Canada fully supports the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Canada supports the full integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into Euro-Atlantic structures.

Canada supports a stable, secure, and multi-ethnic democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Canada, along with its international partners, will not allow any destabilization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nor endanger peace, stability, and the Dayton Agreement. Canada supports the decisions of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Canada has become one of the most important international partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the culture of remembrance and commemoration, and a strong advocate for strengthening the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We thank Canada, the Canadian people, and Canadian authorities and institutions for their correct treatment of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada, for their political and material support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Canada is an important and developed country that is good to have alongside Bosnia and Herzegovina. We call on the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to pay much more attention to diplomatic relations with Canada. It is time for Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada to be represented by true Bosnian-Herzegovinian, not entity or party ambassadors.
