HNK Government: Three Million KM for Flood-Affected Areas of Konjic, Jablanica, and Mostar

(Patria) - After the HNK Assembly adopted amendments to the 2024 budget, the HNK Government, at today's urgent telephone session, made a series of decisions to provide budget funds to assist areas affected by the natural disaster that hit the northern areas of HNK on October 4th.

In accordance with the decisions on approving financial aid for the removal of consequences from the flood in Konjic, Jablanica, and Mostar, a total of 3,000,000 KM will be paid to these local self-government units, specifically: 1,400,000 KM to the City of Konjic, 1,300,000 KM to the Municipality of Jablanica, and 300,000 KM to the City of Mostar.

Furthermore, following previous decisions on granting one-time aid to Konjic and Jablanica, the Government today also made a Decision on approving one-time financial aid to the City of Mostar for the removal of consequences from floods in the Drežnica area, amounting to 50,000 KM.

According to available data and field surveys, and based on the measures and activities undertaken, and considering that the extent of damage caused by the natural disaster is significantly greater, damage remediation will require funds from various sources, primarily from higher levels of government, for which it will be necessary to submit requests as provided by procedures, the HNK Government announced.

The Government also adopted new decisions for seven new beneficiaries of subsidies for young people for real estate transfer tax and rent, in the total amount of 49,070 KM.

Funds will be allocated to beneficiaries who, according to the Public Call, have realized rights to reimbursement of paid real estate transfer tax or compensation for the suitability of construction land and compensation for the costs of arranging construction land when purchasing or building their first residential property for young families in the HNK area.
