HNK Government Allocated 3.4 Million BAM for Roads in Konjic and Jablanica

(Patria) - The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton adopted a Decision on approving funds from the HNK Budget for 2024 under the title "Emergency remediation of flood consequences in the area of the city of Konjic and the municipality of Jablanica on the network of regional roads R-437 and R-418b" in the amount of 3,400,000 BAM, and a Decision on initiating a public procurement procedure based on the said decision.

From the Government, they emphasized that the emergency road remediation, due to the consequences of floods in the area of the City of Konjic and the municipality of Jablanica, and with the aim of normalizing life, is a priority and requires urgent engagement of contractors.

Upon the proposal of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of HNK, the Government accepted that the selection of the most favorable bidder be carried out through a negotiated procedure without prior publication of a public procurement notice.

The HNK Government reminds that on the regional road R-437, where there are several interruptions, normal traffic is not possible. Also, several local roads that connect 24 villages and hamlets, where significant damage has also been recorded, connect to the said regional road.

The estimated value of the works was made based on field visits, drone recordings, as well as using the database on these roads, and amounts to 3,400,000 BAM, stated the cantonal Government.

The works that should be carried out are: wide excavation of category 3 and 5, procurement, transport and installation of embankments made of hard rock, procurement, transport and installation of unbound base course, procurement, transport and installation of steel, procurement, transport and installation of reinforced concrete gabions, etc., specified the Government.
