
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Welfare of HNK held a meeting today, which, with the aim of further monitoring the situation and taking measures to prevent and early detection of any case of disease caused by the new coronavirus, in accordance with the orders of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, adopted new orders.
Classes in primary, secondary, and higher education institutions in the HNK area are suspended for at least 15 days, starting from the date of this order.
The operation of kindergartens in the Canton area is suspended for at least 15 days, starting from the date of this order.
The holding of all cultural and sports events, as well as training sessions in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton area, is suspended for at least 15 days, starting from the date of this order.
All residents of HNK are recommended to strictly adhere to all recommendations of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, i.e., the Crisis Staff of the relevant Cantonal Ministry, as well as the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH and the Public Health Institute of HNK, in order to protect health and public health of citizens.
All primary and secondary school students, university students in higher education institutions in the HNK area, as well as teaching staff, are recommended to avoid unnecessary movement in cafes, restaurants, sports facilities, and other public gathering places. Parents or legal guardians of minor students are responsible for the implementation of this recommendation, while personal responsibility is stated for adult students, as well as teaching staff.
All citizens of HNK, as well as foreign nationals currently staying in this canton, are recommended to avoid unnecessary movement in cafes, restaurants, sports facilities, and other public gathering places.
Citizens of the Federation of BiH in the HNK area, who live or work in countries affected by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), are recommended not to come to the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, due to the increased risk of introducing the new coronavirus (COVID-19), which could further result in the worsening of the epidemiological situation in the Canton.
HNK citizens are recommended not to travel outside of BiH, and definitely not to countries affected by the new coronavirus.
All persons who have been subjected to measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in accordance with the Law on Protection of Citizens from Infectious Diseases ("Official Gazette of FBiH" no. 29/05), by competent sanitary inspectors, are ordered to strictly adhere to the measures for the prescribed duration under threat of misdemeanor and criminal liability.
It was also emphasized that in the last 24 hours, three citizens of HNK were tested for COVID-19, and the results were negative.
