Government of the Federation of BiH to Consider Draft Law on Occupational Safety

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH will consider the Draft Law on Occupational Safety, which, among other things, prescribes special protection for preserving the mental and physical development of young people, women from risks that could endanger motherhood, persons with disabilities and those with occupational diseases from further health damage and reduction of work capacity, and preservation of work abilities of older workers within limits appropriate to their age.

One of the provisions is that the Government of the FBiH establishes a Council for Occupational Safety composed of representatives of the Government, employers' associations, trade unions, and prominent experts in occupational safety and health.

With the aim of implementing the ruling of the Constitutional Court of BiH of January 30, 2013, the Government of the Federation of BiH will today declare itself on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Basics of Social Protection, Protection of Civilian War Victims and Protection of Families with Children.

On the agenda of today's session are the Proposal of the Decree on the establishment of a juvenile prison in Orašje, and the Proposal of the Decision on the allocation of funds to the Solidarity Fund of the Federation of BiH, according to which 10.2 percent of total revenues from contributions for compulsory health insurance are planned for these purposes in 2018.

The agenda of the session includes a proposal that the municipality of Čapljina be subsequently included in the CEB II Project “Closure of Collective Centers and Alternative Accommodations through Public Housing Solutions”.

The Business Plan of the Public Company Roads of the Federation of BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo for 2018 will be considered, which plans investments of 93.78 million KM.

The Federal Government will declare itself on giving consent for the Work Program with the privatization plan and the Financial Plan of the Privatization Agency in the FBiH (APF) for 2018.

Reports on the implementation of projects from the Public Investment Program in the Energy Sector, as of September 30, 2017, and information on the operations of the Development Bank of the FBiH will be considered.
