FBiH Government must confirm Dragan Lukač's appointment as FUP director within 30 days

After today's interviews with seven of the nine candidates who applied for the position of director of the Federal Police Administration, the Independent Board of the FBiH Parliament selected the current director Dragan Lukač as the candidate, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). 

In accordance with the applicable legal procedures, the proposal of the Independent Board is forwarded to the relevant minister, i.e., the Government of the Federation of BiH for confirmation. The Government should decide on the proposal of the Independent Board within 30 days at the latest.

In addition to Lukač, the competition announced on October 1 was also applied for by Svevlad Hoffman, advisor to the director of the Border Police of BiH, Robert Perić, head of the Southern GP Field Office, Ensad Korman, current deputy director of the FUP, Željko Ćorić, head of the SIPA Regional Office in Mostar, Mustafa Hujdurović, inspector in the FUP, Rasim Hadžić, inspector in the FUP, Fahrudin Bećirović, former commissioner of the ZDK, and Marko Dominković, SIPA employee. 

Hoffman demonstratively left the testing for the FUP director today and announced the filing of a criminal complaint against Lukač.
