FBiH Government extends direct price control measures

(Patria) - The FBiH Government today, at a telephone session, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade, amended the Decision on prescribing direct price control measures by setting the highest level of prices for certain products.

This amendment, as explained by the proposer, stipulates the extension of the direct price control measure by setting the highest price level from 60 to 120 days.

The explanation stated that the current economic situation and the constant rise in prices of basic foodstuffs and hygiene products affect the standard of living of the population, and create constant social and economic challenges, especially for the most vulnerable categories of the population.

Given the current market conditions and the need to maintain price stability for certain products, it was assessed that this measure has further contributed to protecting consumers from sudden price changes, and its extension was proposed.
