FBiH Government: KM 15 million each to clinical centres in Sarajevo, Mostar, and Tuzla

(Patria) - The FBiH Government today, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Health, adopted a Decision approving the Program for the expenditure of funds with distribution criteria for a total of KM 45,000,000 from current transfers to other levels of government and funds for clinical centres in FBiH.

These funds were determined by the budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025.

The Decision allocates KM 15,000,000 each to three clinical centres founded by FBiH: the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo, the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, and the University Clinical Centre Tuzla.

The purpose of the adopted program is to ensure the achieved level of safety and quality standards of healthcare services, to meet the healthcare needs of patients from the entire territory of FBiH, and to ensure the continuous provision of safe and quality secondary and tertiary level healthcare services in public healthcare institutions founded by FBiH.

Within this program, the transfer funds will be used to settle part of the due obligations for the procurement of medicines and other consumable materials, as well as for the servicing and renewal of necessary medical equipment due to wear and tear, which is essential for ensuring the continuity of healthcare services in public healthcare institutions founded by FBiH.

The federal ministries of health and finance are responsible for the implementation of this decision, each within their competencies.

Upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Health, the FBiH Government also adopted a Decision approving the Program for the expenditure of funds with distribution criteria for a portion of the funds from current transfers in the amount of KM 200,000 for the financing of equipping the Emergency Department facility of the public institution Livno Health Centre.
