FBiH Government limits electricity price increase to 20%

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's emergency, telephonically held session, adopted a Decision limiting the increase in electricity supply prices during 2022 to a maximum of 20 percent compared to the previous year for a qualified customer, applying to contracts with an annual duration or longer.

The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry is tasked with analyzing the effects of the Decision's implementation three months, or sooner if necessary, after its entry into force, and possibly proposing corrections and submitting them to the Government of the Federation of BiH, in order for it to be sent to the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina for discussion and decision.

The Decision enters into force on the day it is adopted and will be published in the "Official Gazette of FBiH".

The Decision was made in accordance with the Law on Amendments to the Law on Electric Energy, adopted by the Parliament of FBiH, which entered into force on January 6, 2022.
