FBiH Government Refuses to Appoint Lukač as FUP Director

The Federal Government today did not accept the proposal to appoint Dragan Lukač as the director of FUP, which was proposed by the Independent Board and sent to the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Patria News Agency has learned.

The President of the Independent Board, Sead Selman, as well as several other members of the Independent Board, were present at the Government session today.

Lukač's previous four-year term as FUP director expired on December 7, and the current acting director of FUP is Ensad Korman, who is also the deputy director of FUP.

A decision was made to accept the proposal of the House of Representatives Security Committee to proceed with annulling the competition, with the explanation that it is illegal.

The Government unanimously adopted a Decision stating that Lukač's term has expired, and that Korman will be the acting director until a new director is elected.
