FBiH Government Appointed Working Group for Assessment of Federation of BiH's Vulnerability to Natural and Other Disasters

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH today, at the proposal of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, adopted a Decision appointing an Interdepartmental Working Group for the update of the Assessment of Vulnerability of the Federation of BiH to Natural and Other Disasters. The task of the Interdepartmental Working Group is to update the Assessment of Vulnerability of the Federation of BiH to Natural and Other Disasters according to the Methodology for preparing this assessment and submit it to the Federal Civil Protection Administration for further proceedings.

In the explanation, the proposer reminds that the Assessment of Vulnerability of the Federation of BiH to Natural and Other Disasters was adopted in 2014, and that it was assessed that it needs to be updated, given that during the regular review, changes were recorded that significantly affect the change in the assessed situation.

The Interdepartmental Working Group consists of representatives of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, then the federal ministries of agriculture, water management and forestry, energy, mining and industry, internal affairs, transport and communications, spatial planning, environment and tourism, health, finance, labor and social policy, as well as culture and sports. Members also include representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, the Federal Directorate of Commodity Reserves, as well as the Federal Institutes for Statistics, Agropedology and Geology, and the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute.

The Interdepartmental Working Group is obliged to prepare a work report after completing the work and submit it to the Federal Civil Protection Administration, which, together with the updated Assessment of Vulnerability of the Federation of BiH to Natural and Other Disasters, will submit the document to the Government of the Federation of BiH for adoption.
