
(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, at a telephone session, upon the proposal of the Commission for the Implementation of the Procedure for Granting Funds, adopted the Decision on the allocation and granting of funds determined by the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025 to the Government of the Federation of BiH under the item "Current Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds - Financial Assistance for Cities and Municipalities for Damage Repair Caused by Floods", in the total amount of 50 million KM.
From this amount, funds in the total sum of 4,240,000 KM are allocated to the Municipality of Kreševo, 1,050,000 KM to the City of Mostar, 16,700,000 KM to the Municipality of Jablanica, 3,420,000 KM to the Municipality of Kiseljak, 10,690,000 KM to the Municipality of Fojnica, and 13,900,000 KM to the City of Konjic.
The total funds are allocated and granted based on the fulfillment of general and specific criteria from the Decision on determining the criteria for the allocation of these funds and the Call to cities and municipalities that declared a state of natural disaster in October 2024 to submit damage claims in accordance with the damage assessments carried out by commissions for assessing damages from natural and other disasters.
The allocation and granting of transfer funds determined by this decision were carried out according to the criteria from the Decision on determining the criteria for the allocation of funds.
Thus, for the purpose of repairing the consequences of material damage and difficulties in the operations of private business entities with their registered office or separate business unit in the flooded area, funds in the amount of 1,190,000 KM are allocated to the Municipality of Kreševo, 2,650,000 KM to the Municipality of Jablanica, 1,170,000 KM to the Municipality of Kiseljak, 2,940,000 KM to the Municipality of Fojnica, and 2,050,000 KM to the City of Konjic.
For the reconstruction, repair, and construction of transport infrastructure, categorized as main or regional roads and carried out in cooperation with the applicant and the road manager, funds in the amount of 6,000,000 KM are allocated to the Municipality of Jablanica (realized in cooperation with the manager of main roads in the Federation of BiH), 1,000,000 KM to the Municipality of Fojnica (realized in cooperation with the manager of regional roads in the Central Bosnia Canton), and 3,000,000 KM to the City of Konjic (realized in cooperation with the manager of regional roads in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton). The beneficiary transfers the approved funds by agreement to the manager of the main or regional roads.
For the purpose of repairing the consequences of material damage incurred on the assets of legal entities and citizens, residential and other buildings, and the implementation of road infrastructure projects (local roads, bridges, retaining and protective walls, landslide repair, erosion prevention, etc.) and communal infrastructure, funds in the amount of 3,050,000 KM are allocated to the Municipality of Kreševo, 1,050,000 KM to the City of Mostar, 8,050,000 KM to the Municipality of Jablanica, 2,250,000 KM to the Municipality of Kiseljak, 6,750,000 KM to the Municipality of Fojnica, and 8,850,000 KM to the City of Konjic.
The General Secretariat of the Government of the Federation of BiH will monitor the intended use of the approved funds. The monitoring will be carried out based on the report submitted by the cities and municipalities. The report on the intended use of funds is submitted in the prescribed form with accompanying financial documentation proving the intended use. If the total amount of allocated funds is not spent, or if unintended spending of funds is determined, cities and municipalities are obliged to return the unspent or unintentionally spent funds.
