FBiH Government provides 60 million to assist around 25,000 craft businesses

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH has adopted a Decision on determining the list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for crafts and other self-employed activities with the aim of mitigating the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Decision establishes the list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for crafts and other self-employed activities for the period from 01.08.2020 to 31.07.2021, and the amount of allocated funds according to the Decree on measures of financial assistance for crafts and other self-employed activities in the Federation of BiH with the aim of mitigating the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The total funds for the implementation of this decision are set in the FBiH Budget for the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts in the amount of 59,999,335.49 KM and are allocated to 24,766 beneficiaries. The unit value of the coefficient in accordance with the Decree is 859.88 KM.

The transfer of financial assistance funds to the transaction accounts of the beneficiaries will be carried out by the Federal Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts based on this decision. The Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, and the Federal Ministry of Finance are tasked with the implementation of this decision, each within their jurisdiction and obligations in accordance with the Decree.

The reasons for adopting this decision are the implementation of the Decree, which aims to mitigate the negative economic consequences for crafts and other self-employed activities in the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the survival of crafts and other self-employed activities, the preservation of jobs, and ensuring liquidity support for crafts and other self-employed activities.
