Government Adopts Decision on the List of Medicines for Sarajevo Canton

The Decision on the List of Medicines for Sarajevo Canton, adopted today at the proposal of the Ministry of Health by the Government of Sarajevo Canton, was preceded by broad discussions and the participation of all health institutions in Sarajevo Canton in order to define the List of Medicines in accordance with the needs of patients and institutions providing health services, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Commission for Medicines of Sarajevo Canton, formed in May this year, was tasked with proposing a revised list of medicines, taking into account the need for rationalization of funds and respecting professional opinions on the use of medicines and indications. As emphasized by this Commission, there have been no major changes to the A List of Medicines, which is harmonized with the list defined at the level of the Federation of BiH.

Compared to the previous List of Medicines for Sarajevo Canton, the so-called B list adopted today has been reduced by medicines that, as emphasized, are not essential, and a selection of medicines necessary for the population of Sarajevo Canton has been made. The C Ampoule List of Medicines was also adopted today, and the relevant Ministry will inform the public in more detail about the contents of the aforementioned lists of medicines.

The Government adopted the Decision on expanding the number of students who can enroll in the first academic year of the I cycle or integrated studies at the University of Sarajevo in the 2015/2016 academic year. Due to the great interest of candidates who met the conditions of the enrollment competition, an additional number and structure of students were determined for the second enrollment period: for the Faculty of Architecture - 45 candidates, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - 9 candidates, the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education - 4 candidates, the Faculty of Stomatology - 7 candidates, the Faculty of Pedagogy - 6 candidates, and the Academy of Fine Arts - 2 candidates, with the note that these are all regular self-financing students.
