Wind topples monuments, uproots trees

(Patria) - A strong wind that has been blowing in Sarajevo since last night has caused numerous problems. In many parts of the city, the wind has toppled trees and billboards, and the roof of the Third Primary School in Ilidža has also been damaged.

In the Dobrinja neighborhood and in Ilidža, the wind has uprooted several trees. 

In the Sarajevo neighborhood of Alipašino polje, a monument to the killed Sarajevo police officers Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović was toppled.

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) has issued a red weather alert for today due to heavy precipitation, stormy winds, and the occurrence of landslides.

They stated that the stormy wind will blow at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, and will gradually weaken by the end of the day.
