Expert: Dodik developed PTSD due to Bosić, his mother and brother also fell ill

Milorad Dodik has post-traumatic stress disorder, suffers from logorrhea, a condition of uncontrolled and incoherent speech, and experiences emotional pain due to his family, as his mother and brother fell ill due to Bosić's statement, reports the Patria News Agency.

Dodik is suffering because of this, his soul is being destroyed, he fears for his family, sleeps poorly, is tense, his mother and brother have fallen ill, and he believes this is a consequence of attacks against him by certain opposition figures.

This was stated by medical expert Bogdan Stojaković, who psychiatrically observed Dodik and submitted a report to the court describing all the illnesses Dodik developed after Bosić's statement that he had stolen millions of funds.

The psychiatrist's report on Dodik's health condition was used in the court case filed by Milorad Dodik against Mladen Bosić due to Bosić's statement that Dodik had stolen millions of funds, which was a reaction to Dodik's statement that Bosić was a "pathological liar".

To the direct question from Bosić's lawyer, Milenko Simikić, the expert stated that he determined that Dodik suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is a type of anxiety resulting from psychological exposure to stressful experiences, including mortal danger, serious physical injury, or threat to a person's physical integrity, which they experience as extremely traumatic.

This illness, which according to the expert's report Dodik suffers from after Bosić's statement, is most commonly associated with civil conflicts, war operations, natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, fires, or events such as mobbing, domestic violence, imprisonment, internment, rape, terrorism, and war.

At the request of Bosić's lawyer, as stated in the minutes of the main hearing held on December 22, which are in the possession of BN TV, Stojaković had to explain how the plaintiff (Dodik) suffers from logorrhea without having a disorder in the form as stated in the psychiatric report.

"Logorrhea is excessive talkativeness, and regarding speech in terms of form and content, in this specific case, Dodik, when I discussed this topic with him, during that conversation, he occasionally fell into logorrhea, he had a need to talk as much as possible, that is, to explain his position as much as possible after Bosić's statement, more than would be expected," said Stojaković.

He confirmed that Dodik experienced pain related to his family.

"I learned this from Dodik in our conversation that he is suffering, that he fears for his family, that he sleeps poorly, that he is tense, that his mother fell ill, that his brother fell ill, and he thinks it is a consequence of the attacks on him by certain opposition figures," said Stojaković, answering questions from Bosić's lawyer.

Since the report claims that the emotional pain, described as mildly expressed, will likely never completely disappear, Bosić's lawyer asked if permanent consequences were possible with post-traumatic stress disorder. Dodik's expert replied that in this specific case, no permanent personality change had occurred.

"If you ask generally, post-traumatic stress disorder can also cause a permanent personality change. In this specific case, it did not cause a permanent personality change," said Dodik's expert, stating that Dodik's suffering, as described, arose from this specific incident, as he had no other information.

"I spoke with the plaintiff (Dodik) generally about his life, but this was the specific thing that most deeply affected him," said Dodik's expert, who confirmed that Dodik had taken medication on his own initiative without professional supervision because of this.

When asked if the alleged subjective suffering of the plaintiff (Dodik) would have been less intense and shorter in duration if the therapy had been administered under professional supervision rather than on his own initiative, Dodik's expert replied that he allowed for the possibility that if he had seen an experienced psychiatrist, he might have received better medication than what is available in pharmacies, and if, as stated in the minutes, the right medication had been found, the suffering would likely have been less.

Bosić's lawyer challenged the expertise of the psychiatric expert's report, who allegedly "observed" and determined the degree of Milorad Dodik's "emotional and other pain" due to Bosić's statement that Dodik had stolen millions of funds.

The court process Dodik v. Bosić, which began in April, has concluded. A verdict is expected from Judge Snježana Savić of the Basic Court in Banja Luka.

During this process, Bosić maintained his claim that Milorad Dodik, through trading favors, abuse of office, and bribery, enabled himself or others to gain unlawful benefits, for which he presented numerous pieces of evidence to the court, reported BNTV.
