Defence expert Dušan Dunjić found dead in Ratko Mladić case

Defence expert in the case of Prosecutor v. Ratko Mladić, Dušan Dunjić, who was due to testify in court today, was found dead in the hotel where he was staying. He was found by a hotel employee and a representative of the International Tribunal.

Emergency services were immediately notified and confirmed Dunjić's death. Dutch authorities are conducting an investigation into his death.
Dunjić, a forensic medicine expert from Serbia, testified in several cases before the International Tribunal. He was an expert witness for the prosecution in the trials of Milan Milutinović et al., Vlastimir Đorđević, and Ramush Haradinaj et al. In the trials of Radovan Karadžić, Stanislav Galić, Dragoljub Kunarac et al., and Vujadin Popović et al.,
Dunjić testified as a defence expert.
