High temperatures can affect driver concentration, travel long distances early in the morning or late in the evening

(Patria) - High daytime temperatures can affect the concentration of drivers, as well as other road users, warns BIHAMK, and advises to travel long distances in the early morning or late evening hours.

The number of cyclists, motorcyclists, and electric scooter users on the roads has increased.

BIHAMK appeals to all road users to adhere to traffic regulations.

They remind that traffic is allowed for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total mass on the Jablanica-Blidinje route.

Works are underway on the Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever and Banja Luka-Doboj sections of the highway, as well as on the main roads: Zenica-Žepče (Topčić Polje), Tuzla-Šićki Brod (turn for Lipnica), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale and Vrhpolje-Ključ.

Due to active landslides, the main roads Dobro Polje-Foča (at the locations Sijeračke stijene and Tuhalji) and Gacko-Tjentište (between Čemerno and Surdup tunnels) are highlighted.

Increased passenger vehicle traffic is observed at the border crossings Velika Kladuša, Bosanska Gradiška, Gradina, Ivanica, Osoje, and Zupci for departures from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the Šepak border crossing, there is a queue of passenger vehicles entering our country. At other border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles range from 15 to 30 minutes.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.

BIHAMK notes that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers have access to video surveillance cameras on the bihamk.ba website.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum allowed mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik).

Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing.

Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM).
