The air quality index at 8 a.m. this morning in Sarajevo was 276, which is very high, and there is a possibility of significantly intensified symptoms and increased intensity in cases of lung diseases, such as asthma. There is an increased likelihood of respiratory effects for the entire city population, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Patients with lung and heart diseases, pregnant women, children, and the elderly should avoid any outdoor activities. All others should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.
The air quality index in Lukavac was 230, Tuzla 178, Zenica 171, and Prijedor 174, reports ekoakcija.org.
