Visoko Pyramids Increasingly Popular Destination for School Excursions from the Region

Visoko Pyramids are an increasingly frequent destination for school excursions, writes BH news agency Patria (NAP). In the month of October alone this year, the archaeological complex in Visoko was visited by high school students from Zagreb, then high school students from Celje in Slovenia, as well as a large number of schoolchildren from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The nice weather in October and November extended the tourist season in BiH. In the past few weeks, we have recorded a large number of organized groups that came to visit the pyramid complex in Visoko – say from the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation.

- We hosted tourists from Slovenia, then from Gießen (Germany), we had visitors from Budapest (Hungary) and many others.

Thousands of tourists who had announced their arrival this year at the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun canceled their arrival due to the catastrophic floods that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina in May this year, but the Foundation expects them next year, writes NAP.

This archaeological site, which archaeology expert Dr. Semir Osmanagić discovered about ten years ago, is one of the most interesting sites of its kind in the world and is currently being studied. Experts state that the knowledge obtained from Visoko could change even world history. A dozen scientists from around the world are now monitoring developments around the Visoko pyramids. It is believed that in the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun lie structures - pyramids, even older than the pyramids in Egypt.
