Višković: We will file a lawsuit against a US company that blocked the websites of the RS Government

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković said that law firms have prepared a lawsuit against a US company that blocked the websites of the RS Government.

Višković emphasized that it is important that no data was lost, and the only problem was that until they switched to the new website domain, the government's work was not visible on the website. He stated that access to the websites was blocked without any warning.

"We will file a lawsuit. Unfortunately, we have to file it in the US and their courts, and our lawyers representing RS are already working on it. Damage has been done, the website was not visible outside the borders of Republika Srpska for the past four or five days. We agreed with M:tel to have visibility within the territory of RS via the area code. However, our people in the Government worked continuously for the past few days, and as of yesterday, our website is fully operational. We have over three thousand websites that we need to transfer to the new address with the "rs" domain," Višković stated at the session of the National Assembly of RS.

"The internet is blocked, but we have rs," Višković said.

He emphasized that the website of the Government of Republika Srpska is working and that no one should worry about it.

Višković says the website is working with a new address, not the one that was paid for until February 2025, but unfortunately, there are powerful people who think it's possible, but apparently, it's not.

The President of RS, Milorad Dodik, is under OFAC sanctions for undermining the Dayton Peace Agreement. The result of these sanctions is the revocation of the "net" domain for the institutions of the RS Government. Later, sanctions were also imposed on Dodik's son and daughter.
