The Main Board of the SDA, at today's session, called on all political parties signatories to the agreement on the principles of forming a government to urgently finalize the implementation of the election results, reports the BH news agency Patria.
- For the SDA, it is unacceptable for anyone at this moment to leave the process which is in its final phase. Anyone who does so must be aware of their responsibility for all the harmful consequences that will begin to culminate after the expiration of temporary funding on March 31, 2015. The Main Board of the SDA calls on the Democratic Front to return to negotiations so that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina can be elected by the deadline. For the SDA, a minority Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not acceptable, i.e., a government that would not have ministers from all the political parties of the coalition that guarantee it majority support in the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Main Board of the SDA welcomes the serious and responsible attitude of the SDA negotiating team, led by SDA Deputy President Bakir Izetbegović, in the process of implementing the election results. This has already resulted in the establishment of a new parliamentary majority at the state level, the adoption of the Declaration of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other benefits for our country and all its citizens. The Main Board of the Party welcomes the stance of the leadership, led by Bakir Izetbegović, to work patiently on completing the negotiation process, forming the government structure, and stabilizing the situation in the country.
The SDA believes that the Declaration of the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) has introduced unnecessary unrest at a sensitive political moment when election results need to be implemented. At this moment, it is not realistic to hold discussions on significant constitutional reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially regarding a new territorial organization of the country. Instead, it is necessary to hold talks on reforms in the real sector that will lead to strengthening the economy, increasing jobs, and improving the living standard of citizens. The Main Board of the SDA rejects as unacceptable the views from the Declaration of the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) which are in line with additional ethnic and territorial divisions of the country. The goal of future constitutional reform can only be the reintegration of the country, and certainly not its further disintegration. Therefore, proposals for new ethno-territorial divisions, ethnic division of public services, and the like are rejected. The SDA also condemns attempts to revise history and the HNS's pressure on the Hague Tribunal regarding the trial of officials of the para-state of Herzeg-Bosnia for a joint criminal enterprise.
The Main Board of the SDA welcomes the efforts of the Republic of Croatia aimed at providing assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European and NATO path. However, it is not acceptable for representatives of the Republic of Croatia in the European Parliament to promote the interests of only one people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as was done during the adoption of the resolution last year, and as is being attempted these days through amendments to the Progress Report on Bosnia and Herzegovina. We call on the European Parliament not to accept such separate anti-Dayton activity by anyone towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Main Board of the SDA expresses serious concern over attempts to falsify the results of the 2013 Population Census. We warn the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina that when processing census data, it must act in accordance with the law and respect the declaration of the enumerated citizens regarding their place of residence. If the opposite is done and the census results are falsified with the aim of artificially reducing the percentage of the Bosniak population, especially in the RS, the SDA will not recognize the census results, as this would be the completion of ethnic cleansing, this time by the pen.
The Main Board of the SDA tasks the Party Presidency to consider, in talks with the Alliance for Changes from the RS, the possibility of establishing joint parliamentary majorities at the municipal level in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Main Board adopted decisions on calling regular elections in the SDA, which will conclude with the holding of the 6th regular Party Congress on May 26, 2015.
