Over 6,600 participants of the Peace March set off from Nezuk towards Potočari

(Patria) - Over 6,600 participants set off this morning from Nezuk on the Peace March towards Potočari, following the approximately 100-kilometer route that Bosniaks from Srebrenica attempted to take in July 1995 to reach free territory.



The Peace March is being held for the 21st time this year, as part of the 30th anniversary of the genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica. Over 60 percent of the participants are young people, and among the marchers are people from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the world.



The route includes 22 points, including Baljkovica, Snagovo, Liplje, Cerska, Ravni Buljim and Budak, and participants will arrive on Thursday at the Potočari Memorial Center, where on Friday they will attend the collective funeral for seven genocide victims.



The youngest identified victims to be buried this year are Avdić Senajid and Mujić Hariz, both 19 years old at the time of their murder. Around 150,000 people are expected to attend the commemoration.
