Over 40 Trucks with Hazardous Soybean Meal Awaiting Entry into BiH

Lobbyists have been pressuring the Council of Ministers of BiH for several days, seeking a permit for the import of more than 40 trucks with hazardous GM soybean meal into the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which inspectors are holding blocked at the border crossings of Gradiška and Orašje, the Bosnian news agency Patria learns.

A source of Patria who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity claims that at the border crossings of Gradiška and Orašje there are still more than 40 trucks with GM meal, which are attempting to enter the BiH market, which would mean catastrophic consequences for the health of a large number of BiH citizens.

GM food is one of the greatest threats to human health today. Food grown in this way leads to disorders in the human body, leaving incalculable consequences for health, especially in children. The use of food grown in this way is banned in most of the world, and its distribution is strictly punishable in BiH as well.

The GM meal that various criminal networks are importing into BiH is most often used in the production of poultry feed. Its dangerous ingredients end up in the meat of animals, and from there into the human body.

The head of the Clinic for Children's Diseases of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, Dr. Vesna Brkić, previously told Večernji list that in the first four months of 2015, doctors in Mostar diagnosed diabetes in as many as 12 children, and that in five cases, doctors discovered that the cause of such hormonal disorders in children was exclusively chicken, chicken hot dogs, and salami.
And, the dangerous chicken was fed nothing other than GM soybean meal.

The hazardous GM soybean meal first arrives at the Port of Koper from Brazil, and from the port it goes further towards BiH and the region. It is up to twice as cheap as natural meal, and therefore represents an opportunity for enormous profit.

Earlier, more than 130 trucks of hazardous meal were imported into BiH, this source claims, but the import was stopped a few days ago, after inspectors uncovered this criminal chain.

A source of the news agency Patria reveals that lobbyists and importers now cannot return the GM meal even to the Port of Koper, because their suppliers from Koper do not want to take the goods back.
