More than 100 Zrak workers on strike since this morning

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Workers of Sarajevo's Zrak have been on strike since this morning. More than 100 workers of this state-owned company went on strike this morning, after, as they explain, they haven't received salaries for three months and cannot exercise their right to medical treatment.

Mirsad Ademović from the Zrak Workers' Union told the Patria agency that the government often states in public that the defense industry is the "golden goose" of the Federation, but at the same time, Zrak workers are not receiving their salaries.

"We received half a salary three months ago and nothing more than that," Ademović said.

"All of us are on strike except for the General Director Ismet Hebibović," he added.

 Ademović said that Zrak could operate and be a successful company if there was political will in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
