Vilić supports the Union: State police officers have been the worst paid for more than 10 years

(Patria) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Vilić expressed full support for the Union of Police Organs in BiH in its efforts to improve the labor and legal status concerning the level of income in police agencies.

Namely, the Council of Ministers of BiH, at its 27th session, adopted by a majority of votes the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations of BiH, which will be submitted to the Presidency of BiH.
Director Vilić emphasized that representatives of the police organs union have been warning the authorities for more than 10 years that they are the worst paid in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that precisely from the agencies at the state level – the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Border Police of BiH, and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH – there is an increasing outflow of personnel, which directly affects security and the efficient execution of tasks and duties.

„I emphasize that police agencies at the BiH level bear the greatest burden when it comes to the fight against organized crime, terrorism, serious financial crime, and criminal acts directed against the security of the state border. Also, the agencies are involved in daily activities undertaken regarding the migrant crisis. I consider the demands of the Union of Police Organs in BiH to be completely realistic and justified,” said Director Vilić.
