Vilić with Duraković: Ensure a dignified farewell for genocide victims for all citizens on July 11

Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Vilić, and the Chairman of the Security Subcommittee of the Organizing Committee, Rahman Alić, visited the Mayor of Srebrenica and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the commemoration of July 11, 1995, the 20th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the "UN Safe Area" Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, reports the Patria news agency.

Vilić informed Duraković about activities related to planning security for the anniversary within the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center and emphasized that all necessary measures and actions within the Directorate's competence are being taken.

Vilić said that the Directorate will take all necessary measures and actions to ensure all citizens an uninterrupted and dignified presence at the commemoration of the anniversary at the Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center. He also pointed out that the Directorate will ensure the arrival and stay of about 50 foreign VIP delegations that will participate in the commemoration of this anniversary.

It was emphasized that cooperation and communication with all police and intelligence agencies involved in securing this event (DKPT, MUP RS, OSA, FUP, GP BiH, SIPA, and K-MUPs) is at the highest level.

On that occasion, Mayor Duraković was informed that currently there are no intelligence or security findings indicating a threat to the commemoration of this event.
