(Patria) - Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary, will arrive on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Thursday, April 4, Radio Free Europe (RSE) has confirmed with the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Orban is expected to be welcomed at Sarajevo airport by Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, according to announcements from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Following this, talks will be held between the Hungarian delegation and Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, RSE was told on April 2.
Previously, on March 28, Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, announced Orban's visit for a "two-day visit" to that BiH entity, without mentioning that it was actually an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As RSE has unofficially learned, Orban will travel to Banja Luka after Sarajevo.
Dodik had previously stated that Orban would be awarded the Order of Republika Srpska on a necklace on that occasion.
Orban paid an official visit to BiH in June 2023, when he offered Hungary's assistance on the path to the EU.
