Weekend Cable Car Tickets Half Price: Relief Due to Air Pollution

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The City of Sarajevo and the public company Sarajevo d.o.o. will, starting this and every following weekend until March 1 this year, enable all BiH residents to purchase tickets for the Trebević Cable Car at half price, confirmed the Mayor of Sarajevo, Abdulah Skaka. 

This is an emergency measure adopted as a form of support for the citizens of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to high air pollution readings during winter days.

From January 11, 2020, until the end of February this year, all citizens of BiH will be able to buy a return ticket for the Cable Car on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, at a price of only three KM, announced the City of Sarajevo.

The decision was made to enable citizens to enjoy the ride and the beauties of Trebević at promotional prices during winter conditions and the holiday atmosphere.

Mayor Skaka emphasizes that this is one of the ways to ease the days of high pollution for the citizens of Sarajevo. 

"We receive information about high air pollution on a daily basis. We want to make it easier for citizens to go out to clean air, to enjoy the air spa on Trebević. Last year, we offered this action only to a part of the population, but this year we will enable it for all BiH citizens with the intention of encouraging them to use the weekends in a nice way and come to Trebević," said Mayor Skaka. The discount, as stated by JP Sarajevo d.o.o., is achieved by presenting an appropriate document issued in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
