British Councillor Wants to Participate in Srebrenica Peace March 2015

Councillor Noordad Aziz from Great Harwood (town of Hyndburn) is assembling a team that will walk the path from Tuzla to Srebrenica on the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

They will walk almost 170 km for the families of the victims of the largest genocide in Europe after World War II, in which more than 8,000 men and boys were killed. Last year, Aziz visited BiH and Potočari and came up with the idea to participate in the march this year, which has been organized for years before the commemoration on July 11.

- The 20th anniversary is approaching, and I would like to raise funds that we will donate to all women who have lost sons, husbands, and other family members - Aziz points out.

The Srebrenica genocide, which happened just 20 years ago, must never be forgotten - says this councillor.

He hopes to raise 10,000 pounds for the walk.
