Vijećnica open from 10 AM to 8 PM, new ticket prices

From Wednesday, July 15, Sarajevo's Vijećnica will be open three hours longer. Except for Mondays, Vijećnica will be open for visits every day from 10 AM to 8 PM, reports the Patria News Agency.

Over 60,000 citizens of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as tourists from all continents, have visited Vijećnica in the past year, which has become one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the city of Sarajevo.

All visitors have the opportunity to tour the ceremonial hall, the central staircase, the gallery, two representative halls: the Ceremonial Hall and the City Council Hall, and the Vijećnica Museum.

Given the growing interest and inquiries from our citizens, weddings and photoshoots for newlyweds with witnesses are possible in the coming period when the marriage is not solemnized in Vijećnica, of course, according to strict protocol rules.

Longer working hours and new content to be offered increase maintenance costs, so there will be adjustments in the prices for visiting Vijećnica, which will remain much lower compared to the prices for visiting representative cultural and historical buildings in the world, which includes our Vijećnica.

Thus, the ticket price for individual visits will be five KM, for group visits (a group must have more than 10 people) four KM per person, for pupils, students, pensioners, and persons with disabilities three KM, and the ticket price for group visits of pupils, students, pensioners, and persons with disabilities will be a symbolic two KM per person. Children up to six years of age will not pay for a ticket, it was announced from the City Administration.
