The Council for the Protection of Vital Interest will decide on the Law on the Protection of the Constitutional Order of the Republika Srpska Entity

(Patria) - The Council for the Protection of Vital Interest of the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska has, in deciding on the admissibility of the request of the Club of Delegates of the Bosniak People in the Council of Peoples of RS for the determination of a violation of the vital national interest of the constituent Bosniak people in relation to the Law on the Protection of the Constitutional Order of RS, which was passed by the National Assembly of RS on March 13, 2025, determined that the request is admissible given that the procedure for laws relating to vital national interest has been carried out in accordance with the Constitution of RS.

The Council discussed the admissibility of the aforementioned request, i.e., whether there are procedural legal conditions for a substantive decision on whether the disputed law has violated the vital national interest of the constituent Bosniak people.

Furthermore, the Council also stated that other procedural prerequisites for a substantive decision on this request have been met, and that it will make a substantive decision within the constitutionally defined period of the next month, it was announced from the Constitutional Court of RS.
