UN Security Council tomorrow on BiH: Schmidt not addressing, so Dodik also not invited?

Milorad Dodik, SNSD president, said today at a press conference that Christian Schmidt, the High Representative in BiH, who is not recognized in RS, will not address the UN Security Council session.

“The report is not being considered, the report is not being adopted, the High Representative is not addressing. We were supposed to have a video conference today at three o’clock, which I was also supposed to participate in, and they said since he (Schmidt, editorial note) is not addressing, then there is no need for us to address either,” Dodik said, attacking Schmidt for who knows what time again.

“BiH does not have a High Representative, not even in an attempt. And what he wrote in the report absolutely disqualifies him for any conversation, even if they appointed him High Representative tomorrow. It is a propaganda pamphlet written by Muslims in his office, he just signed it. He is essentially nothing. He does not exist and is not appointed by the UN, and even if he were, he is doing everything to be in the service of the Muslim side,” Dodik said.

The SNSD president is convinced that Schmidt's report will not be adopted by the UN Security Council.

He confirmed that a struggle is underway as to whether Sven Alkalaj, Permanent Representative of BiH to the United Nations in New York, will address the council, as there is no consensus from the BiH Presidency.

Tomorrow, the UN Security Council should also extend the mandate of the EUFOR mission in BiH, and the Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabuhov said that Russia has nothing against extending the mandate.

In the draft resolution that the UN Security Council is to consider tomorrow, Russia requested the deletion of the term High Representative, given that Russia and China do not recognize Schmidt's appointment.
