Canton Sarajevo Parent Council was unaware of the Rulebook on marking 'unacceptable forms of student behavior'

(Patria) - The Parent Council of Canton Sarajevo sent a response to the Minister of Education Naida Hota-Muminović and the Director of the Institute for Pre-University Education Senada Salihović, regarding the adoption of the rulebook on keeping records of unacceptable forms of behavior and/or other factors that may threaten the interest of students and the protection of students.

The Management Board of the Parent Council of Canton Sarajevo informs the public that they were neither involved nor informed about the drafting and adoption of this rulebook.

"We believe that the participation of parents and other interested parties would contribute to a better understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students and their parents, as well as ensure that their rights and interests are adequately protected," they state in the letter.

The Parent Council of Canton Sarajevo will analyze the Rulebook to ensure that all aspects of the protection of children's rights are adequately covered and that the prescribed methods of keeping and storing records are in line with the best interests of students and legal frameworks for privacy and data protection, and will inform the competent institutions accordingly.
