Council of Ministers: Sutorina does not belong to BiH

The Council of Ministers of BiH at today's session determined the Draft Agreement on the State Border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, which defines the state border that will be marked on the ground within three years of the entry into force of this agreement, reports the Patria News Agency.

- According to the agreement, the state border extends from the tripoint of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and the Republic of Serbia in the northern part, to the tripoint of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and the Republic of Croatia in the southern part. In this way, by respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, the two countries are improving bilateral relations, fulfilling the obligations undertaken by the Charter of the United Nations, and sending a positive message to the countries in the region, European and global partners about the readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to amicably resolve outstanding issues. The Ministry of Civil Affairs will submit the draft agreement to the Presidency of BiH for further procedure - it was announced from the Council of Ministers.

In this way, the debate that has been going on in recent days about Sutorina being part of BiH has been concluded. Namely, a group of citizens led by Suad Kurtćehajić, a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, claims that Sutorina is part of BiH and that it is BiH's open sea.

As crucial evidence for this, they found collections of stenograms from the AVNOJ presidency from 1951, located in Belgrade, which clearly states the decision according to which the borders of BiH are established within the borders of the Berlin Congress.
