Council of Ministers clarifies for NAP: Amendment will remove white bread from proposed law

Delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of BiH abolished the so-called white bread, but the Council of Ministers submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH a Proposal for a law on amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions, which envisages the reinstatement of this benefit for elected and appointed officials after the end of their mandate, writes the Patria news agency.

Patria reported that the Council of Ministers, in the proposed amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions, envisages that elected and appointed persons in BiH institutions, after the termination of their mandate, have the right to a salary until establishing a new employment relationship or retirement, but for a maximum of six months from the cessation of public office.

This right would apply to members of the Presidency, deputies and delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and members of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

However, the Council of Ministers clarified that the Council of Ministers had sent the adoption of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions into procedure long before the decision of the House of Peoples to abolish the white bread.

- Now, after the decision of the House of Peoples of BiH, it will be incorporated by amendment, and with the support of the Council of Ministers, into the final version of the Law on Salaries and Allowances in institutions at the level of BiH – they say from the Council of Ministers.
