Council of Ministers of BiH meets on Wednesday: No laws, but decisions on appointments are on the agenda

(Patria) - The session of the Council of Ministers will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM, in the building of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are no laws on the agenda, but there are decisions on appointments.

Thus, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Decision on the appointment of members of the Joint Administrative Board for the lawful interception of telecommunications and the manner of executing activities will be amended. Three members of this board were appointed in 2021 for a four-year term. It consists of one representative each from the Ministry of Security, SIPA, and OSA.

At the proposal of the same Ministry, the Decision on the formation and appointment of members of the Commission for the Suppression of Drug Abuse will be supplemented. Also on the agenda is the Proposal for a decision on the minimum amount of funds necessary for the maintenance of foreigners during their intended stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024, proposed by the Ministry of Security of BiH.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, the Decision on the appointment of members of the Management Board of the Srebrenica Memorial Center - Potočari Memorial and Cemetery for the victims of the 1995 genocide will be amended.

Given that there was no prior agreement on BiH's participation in the Venice Biennale, at this session, at the proposal of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Information on the proposal for the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 60th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2024 will be presented in a new text.

The Council of Ministers of BiH will consider information in the field of migration, as well as the situation in the field of education and inclusive education.
