Council of Ministers of BiH Adopts Transport Community Agreement

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina today adopted the Transport Community Agreement, N1 reports, as conveyed by the Patria agency.

The information was confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović.

He stated that decisions on the representation of BiH in this community would be made by the competent ministries of the Council of Ministers, the Federation of BiH, and Republika Srpska, which was the main point of contention.

The Council of Ministers unanimously accepted the Transport Community Agreement.

Minister Šarović said that there were differing opinions on the implementation of this decision. The agreement has been sent for further procedure to the Presidency of BiH.

Conclusions that would accompany this document were also discussed. Some conclusions relate to the positions from Republika Srpska.

A conclusion was adopted that addresses coordination and the adoption of positions within the Transport Community, which was also insisted upon by Republika Srpska.

- Coordination regarding BiH's participation in the Transport Community, the adoption of positions, and representation will be agreed upon by the competent ministries of the Council of Ministers, the FBiH, and RS. In accordance with the Constitutional competencies and the provisions arising from the Transport Community Agreement – the conclusion states.
