Council of Ministers of BiH Adopts Public Procurement Strategy

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Public Procurement Strategy in BiH for the period 2024-2028 and the Action Plan for its implementation at today's session, in order to strengthen capacities in this area and fulfill one of the priorities from the European Commission's Opinion on BiH's application for EU membership.

By adopting this strategy, prepared by the Public Procurement Agency of BiH, prerequisites are created for a modern, transparent, competitive, and efficient public procurement system in accordance with EU legislation and best practices.

The Council of Ministers of BiH also determined and will submit to the BiH Parliament for adoption the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Other Benefits in Judicial and Prosecutorial Institutions at the BiH level, which implements the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

The amendments to the Law, proposed by the Ministry of Justice, equalize the right to accommodation costs and compensation for separate living for professional staff in judicial institutions with judicial office holders, judges, and prosecutors at the BiH level, in order to ensure the principle of judicial independence.

The Council of Ministers of BiH also passed a Decision approving the entry and stay in BiH under special conditions for citizens of Palestine who are relatives of BiH citizens.
